The Sunday Scroll
Your Sunday morning scroll through some of the best things I saw on the internet this week
Welcome to the Sunday Scroll! This is your Sunday morning/early afternoon opportunity to, as I like to call it, ‘dream scroll’ rather than ‘doom scroll’ - a lovingly curated list of positive stuff I screengrabbed from Instagram this week.
1. A throwback to the old internet
When Instagram didn’t even exist and our entire worlds revolved solely around flirting with our crushes on MSN and lying to our parents about it. Thanks, Ed!
2. Relatable and beautiful art
From one of my favourite Instagram accounts and Substack newsletters, People I’ve Loved by
. Carissa creates the most magnificent creations that speak to my very soul.3. A reminder from the universe
The ABBA song should have gone, "Knowing me, knowing you, you’re beating yourself up for not knowing what you didn’t know right now so STOP IT SILLY BILLY.”
Thanks to The Female on Instagram for this much needed nugget of wisdom.
4. A recreation of a 70s moment in time
Taken on Langton Street, Salford, in 1970 and 2024 respectively. I am absolutely obsessed with her outfit, TBH. Thank you to the British Culture Archive on Instagram for this vintage gem.
5. A tiny knitted frog
The artist who creates these precious little creatures and films their antics for Instagram and TikTok, India Rose Crawford, has such a hold on my heart. I absolutely adore her work and highly recommend that you follow her, if only for a boost of serotonin and calm peacefulness in the middle of our chaotic, hectic lives.
Thank you for scrolling with me! I hope this has brought you some joy this Sunday morning. I’m off to clean my house and then maybe get out for a walk.
