The Sunday Scroll: summer vibes, friendship and guinea pigs 🌸
Your Sunday scroll through some of the best things I saw on the internet this week
Happy Sunday, and welcome to the Sunday Scroll! This is your opportunity to ‘dream scroll’ rather than ‘doom scroll’ - a lovingly curated list of uplifting content to bring some joy to your Sunday evening 🥰
1. British summer
The other day, I wore a thick cable knit jumper that would usually be reserved for a chilly day in November. It’s important to note here that I live in a Victorian terraced house that is permanently cold even in the height of summer, but this really is taking the biscuit.
2. A life chosen, not settled for
Much easier said than done, but a beautiful and meaningful sentiment to keep in mind as we bumble our way through this strange thing called life.
3. Friendship
I am lowkey obsessed with this poem by Amy Kay. It encapsulates so vividly the intimate friendships that I feel so lucky to have in this decade of life - the way they know me, the way they know what’s up and what questions to ask. Female friendship is so sacred.
4. Roger at Wimbledon
My one true love, Roger Federer (don’t worry, James knows and is supportive of my adoration for Roger). I never did get to watch him play at Wimbledon in the flesh before he retired, but I’ll settle for seeing him in the crowd in a suave suit on the telly.
5. Sassy guinea pig
I shared this on my Instagram story earlier in the week and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since then. Take these words with you, whatever this week brings - because you are strong, and you are powerful, and you are HOT AF, and you can do anything.
Thank you for scrolling with me! Have a marvellous week.
